Sample of saliva: 1. one needs 2 buccal swabs per dane (keep the packaging) 2. introduce between the lip and the gum and make small movements up and down and at the same time, turn the swab so that it is completely impregnated. 3. put them back into the packaging and close them. Identify them with the name of the dog and his owner. 4. put them into an envelope and keep at ambient temperature Advice: make your sample when your file is ready to be posted. To supplement the questionnaire 1. Diagnosed DCM: join the copy of the cardiac echography of diagnosis 2. Attention, it is a special echography (see with your veterinary surgeon or the cardiologist of your great dane) 2. It must be recent. If your dog is ill, send the one which had allowed the diagnosis 3. the veterinary has to specify: a. diameter of the left ventricle (diastole) b. shortening fraction in % c. ejection fraction in % Where must you send the file?
